I can honestly say I am one of them due to the fact I was born 1-mile away from the Manchester Ship Canal. I can remember the ships, one after the other, passing through Barton Bridge as a young boy. Ships from all over the World would enter the Manchester Ship Canal from the River Mersey at Liverpool all the way to Salford Docks, Manchester. While many prefer to collect specific shipping lines, other shipping collectors prefer the busy docks or at the top end, the elusive Titanic postcards.
