Some of the most collectable postcards are found in the motor vehicle niche. There is a vast array of choices for collectors from Charabancs, Motor Buses, Motor Cars, Commercial Vehicles, Military Vehicles and the excitement of Motor Racing at Brooklands to name a few. These are very collectable, especially if the vehicle registration can be clearly seen so you can identify the location. Sadly, many of the charabanc postcards produced by the photographers of the day were taken ‘side-on’ to ensure they included all the passengers. Some can be located by the publisher or the franking stamp so even uncaptioned postcards can give you so clues of location.
